How do you cope with external negativity?

Sending big love out there.

There’s a lot of bad energy around, a lot of anger, a lot of bad news and a lot of people losing jobs.

This week has been hard for a lot of us, however it’s how we look at ourselves and do things to make us happy.

Across the world, external influence is creeping in.

It’s hard just now, very hard for a lot of people.
Yesterday was difficult, it was the first time I felt a bit of anger through the whole situation.
Finding out my beloved events might not take place for another 6 months.
Yes, safety is a priority.

Though today I woke up far too early, I went back to sleep and eventually woke up, it didn’t feel right.
Anxiety and anger were creeping in. I know the signs and had to stop them.

It got me thinking about how the outside influences had got to me again, I usually stay so strong and let them go.
As the day went on, I only focused on what was in front of me, what could make a difference for me.

A phone call from a friend was welcomed with a big smile, after having had an online video call with another.
The wheels were in motion again, however at lunchtime it was time give myself a shake and finish the thing I was doing.

Try to let go of negative influence in your life, whether that be the people who pull you down (the crabs in the bucket), the news, the outside influence that you cannot control and also, step away from social media.

I needed a friend tonight and I’m glad my bike allowed me time to think. I feel so much better for it. I was able to be grateful for the good things that have happened today.

So what can you do?

Practice some gratification, look around, look inside and write down what you are grateful for.

Get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and get lost in music or your thoughts.

Read a self development book, or something that interests you.

Breathe! Do lots of breathing exercises, plenty online. This will calm you down.

Phone a friend, speak to them. Or smile at a stranger.

Write down what makes you happy and what you want to change.
Put this into areas of a vision board (check out our article for a template)

Let go, time out, turn that anger and fear into what pushes you on.

As I said on LinkedIn last night, “fuck it, we will win regardless!”

Good times are coming again, create your own happiness now.

I believe in you.
