Focus - Focus on you. Find your own Meditation.

I’ve seen a few people today asking whether to take time out, or should they meditate? 

The answer is YES!

If you don’t focus on yourself, you will start to become unhealthy in body and in mind.

How many times have you been “busy?” but when when you look at your results you haven’t actually achieved anything? Be honest with yourself! 

Focus on what is in front of you today. 

Can you feel anxiety and stress building up due to a to-do-list that keeps getting bigger? Take time to focus on you. Do this first. 

When making a ‘choose life first’ plan, you need to focus on what you want first. What in life makes you happy?  Small changes will have a massive effect on your wellbeing. 

Some things I have found work: 

Technology ban for part of the day - leave the phone in another room (do you care what people say on a free app about you?) 

Focus on your health   

Go for a run, a walk, a cycle or something else that takes you away from your desk. It’s  a great time to think. When we aren’t in lockdown conditions I love swimming every day. Going in the mornings means I haven’t allowed ‘busyness’ to encroach on time I use to think about my visions, my projects and what I am doing today. It leads to better focus for the rest of the day and I inevitably get more done. 

Focus on switching off, walk away from the work. 

Walk away from the news. Especially now. Remove the outside influence and the things you can’t control. If you turn on the news, you are going to see things that make you angry and sad.

What makes you happy? What’s important to you? Answer these questions and start to put yourself first. It is time to look after yourself. 

This time out to think and then plan, will lead to extreme focus in your decision making. 

Focus on your plan for the next half of the year. Focus on what you are going to do today to make today, your best today. 

By focusing on your own happiness, your mood will change massively. It is your life first, not your business life, so look at your personal goals. 

Watch your stress levels drop, creating a healthy and focused mind.
